Cloverglen Go Quilting!
Our partners at Cloverglen Day Centre recently took part in our ‘Owl Cushion’ sewing class as part of May’s Quilt Fling. Cloverglen support vulnerable young adults who spend time learning new skills and take part in some of the classes Shambellie offers. Eric Bridgwood, manager of Cloverglen said “Our team enjoyed learning how to sew by hand and machine and how to use an iron safely. The amount of laughter on the day could be heard throughout Shambellie House and beyond. This class was an important part of the skills they need to learn to help them live independently. They are looking forward to the next one”. Some of the group also produced scones and cake as part of their cookery course for Quilt Fling and the quilters.
Cloverglen are based at the Gate Lodge of Shambellie House which has been fully renovated for their activities.
