New Face at Shambellie
This new face is a clock face! We are so grateful for the loan of a longcase clock which now sits in the reception hall in the same place as a similar one did in the 1890s. The hall with its fabulous staircase is very little changed to how it was in Victorian times, though minus the tiger skin and buffalo horns! The ticking of the longcase clock, alongside the fantastic Stewart family portraits, makes it a really atmospheric space.
