Description
Come along and find out how to make beautiful textile bird portraits using wool fibres and a barbed needle. We will explore the basics of needle felting and discover how we can blend and manipulate fibres to create texture, depth of colour and form. Needlefelting is a wonderful technique allowing you to create bold or subtle ‘washes’ of colour with fibre as well as add intricate details. It works well on it’s own or can be combined with other techniques such as embroidery for even more depth and interest. This session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.
Helen will provide templates but if you have your own images of birds please feel free to bring them along with you.
