Writing and Storytelling

Shambellie House has long been an inspiration for the written word.  Artist Francis Cadell was a regular visitor, and Uncle Bunty, as the youngsters in the family knew Cadell, would invent mythical characters to entertain them.  He even wrote a poem about the house which the children had to learn and recite before dinner.  Our creative programme may inspire you to write, to discover the Scots language, or just revel in the joy of words.
