For further information visit:

Rebecca Masterton is a Flower Farmer and Florist based near Lockerbie. Rebecca started growing cut flowers for sale in 2017 in an attempt to spend more time at home with her two young children and carve out a new career working creatively with her love of flowers and the natural world. She has always worked with her hands in a creative and practical way, originally as a professional Dog Groomer for 20 years, running a successful business until recently whilst merging from one business to the next. The new flower business quickly gained traction and has gone from strength to strength with more and more customers realising the benefits of sustainable Scottish grown flowers and Rebecca’s increasing skill and artistic flair for arranging them. Interest and demand for Rebecca’s home-grown treasures has found her able to branch out into selling through local retail spaces and provide flowers for weddings and events, florists and subscription customers throughout the region. Her husband Scott has recently joined the business full-time as they plan to expand their growing area and build a Christmas Tree Farm alongside the flowers.

Sybil Williamson

For further information visit:

Sybil, from Solway Silver is a silver clay artist.  Silver clay is a manufactured product made from tiny particles of pure silver which are suspended in an organic binder.  The piece is formed in clay then fired in a kiln.  During the firing process the binder burns off and the particles of silver sinter into a solid piece.  This piece is 99.9% pure silver.  Sybil comments that, ‘…some sort of magic goes on in the kiln, it’s like alchemy’.  Her work is inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of Dumfries and Galloway.  She has a background in education and enjoys sharing her silver clay techniques through workshops.
