Margot McIntyre
Margot McIntyre is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art and a Royal Society of Arts bursary winner. She taught Art and Design for 20 years during which time she exhibited wall hangings, embroidered clothes and screen prints. She also designed and made stage costumes, church robes, banners and costumes for “Guid Neighbours “. Among her public commissions are the Wall Hanging for the Crichton Campus in 2000 and the Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival Wall Hanging. She was responsible for the design and collation of the “Galloway Hoard ” panel at present in Kirkcudbright Art gallery. Margot has exhibited widely in embroidery exhibitions across Britain. She also exhibits with her husband the painter Hugh McIntyre.
About The Day
Embroider a Bag Flap or Small Cushion Front Workshop runs from 10.00am until 1.00pm and includes refreshments including fresh coffee, teas and cake.
Essential information
There is a flight of stairs from the main entrance with a stair lift. The course will take place in the Gallery on the second floor accessed only by a flight of stairs.
