Description

Aimed at those completely new to Kumihimo (or any form of crafting) this fun and relaxing workshop will teach you the basics of braid making.  You’ll discover a little about the Japanese origins of Kumihimo, before learning 3 different, but simple, braiding techniques.  You will be able to choose from a range of materials including leather, satin or hemp cord in a variety of colours to create your own unique braids.  Using stylish clasps, you’ll then turn your braids into either bracelets or keyrings.  These would make wonderful gifts for a friend – if you can bear to part with them!

This workshop is suitable for those with no crafting experience, or those who are experienced crafters but have never tried Kumihimo.  No prior experience is necessary; you will be guided and supported throughout the process.
