Jo Gallant

Jo has worked professionally as a textile artist for over 30 years.  She has exhibited nationally and internationally and undertaken commissions, both public and private, across the UK, and has taught groups of all ages and levels of experience.  Her work, which uses dyeing, painting, stitching and embroidery, is very much influenced by her surroundings, the landscape and wildlife of Galloway.

About the Day

The Landscape Panel workshop will take place from 10am until 4pm and refreshments will be provided throughout the day including tea/coffee and freshly prepared lunch by our partners at Cloverglen.

Kit and Requirements

You will be making a landscape themed panel about 40cm square, and should bring fabrics – a mix of colours and tones, patterned and plain, in smooth cotton or linen.  You should also bring a roll of masking tape and embroidery kit, machine or hand – whatever you like to use.  You will be working with paints, so you might like to bring an apron.

I will supply fabric paints, brushes, Vliesofix (Bondaweb) and other bits and pieces.

Essential Information

This workshop is in the  gallery which is on the second floor.
This is only accessible via stairs with no lift access available. Please let us know if you have any access needs and we will try our best to accommodate you.
