Description

This 30” square Mandela quilt is constructed in wedges on a tear away fabric.  Participants will be shown how to create their own design using a few simple lines or opt to use the version provided.

The addition of circles or other shapes can add extra interest.

We’ll use the decorative stitches on your sewing machine to embellish the wedges before assembling and inserting onto the background fabric.

This is not a pieced project.  Requirements list can be found under essential information.

Carol Munro

Carol has been passionate about patchwork and quilting for over twenty years and loves being able to pass on her knowledge to others. Her favourite techniques include appliqué and foundation piecing, although she’ll happily work on any technique. She holds City and Guilds Diplomas in both Patchwork and Quilting, and Embroidery. Carol loves free motion quilting, and having discovered ruler quilting several years ago, she will often combine both when quilting her quilts to achieve the desired effect. Nothing pleases her more than seeing students grow in confidence and enjoying new found skills.
