Description

We will consider as a group the idea of seeing the world personally through a camera lens and then go into the grounds of Shambellie to spend time looking and listening to the natural world. There will be plenty of time to explore what we see with a camera, with technical advice on offer if needed or wanted. The final part of the morning will take place in the digital room of Shambellie House, when we all will choose images for projection onto a screen for some positive group discussion.

Prior to moving to Dumfries two years ago, I had a career teaching art and photography at Colchester Sixth Form College in Essex. I have taught students in all areas of art and art history and have worked as a community artist with The Stove Network in NW Dumfries for the past 18 months. I also have a home studio where I combine my interests of stained glass and photo-screen printing. I have taught glass and photography workshops to all age groups over the years.
