A morning of colour and composition exploration with acrylic paints on paper. A feel good finish to your weekend at Shambellie House and grounds.
*There will be an additional £5 fee to be paid directly to the artist on the day to cover the costs of art materials used.*
Returning for our second Shambellie Sunday Session, we will be painting expressive gardens, funky florals and colourful compositions with acrylic paints. We will look at how to use colour, size and scale to add interest in our work, simplifying the plants into bold, simple shapes.
Julie Stephen is a freelance illustrator, fine art printmaker and art tutor. Julie worked as an art and design teacher for over 20 years but is now focussing on her own visual art business, The Artful Corner. Julie also creates ethereal hand pulled gel prints, layering colours, shapes and textures inspired by forest walks, trips to the shore and sunlight through trees.
This workshop will run from 10am until 1pm and include refreshments throughout the day including fresh coffee, teas.
Please note: There is a flight of stairs from the main entrance with a stair lift.
Please wear old clothes, an apron or overall. The acrylic paints are washable, but can stain your clothing.
The course will take place in the Gallery on the second floor accessed only by a flight of stairs.
