Description
Join us for another Thrive evening session for young creatives!
We’re so pleased to run these sessions, thanks to funding from the Holywood Trust, aimed at young creative people in Dumfries and Galloway (ages 18+).
This session will be run by local artist and creative Kirsty Turpie.
Connect with the Ancient Celtic Wheel of the Year and prepare yourself for Mabon, the Autumn Equinox and Mid-harvest festival. The colours of the Earth begin to change around us and it is a time to take heed of the fruits we have sewn this year, whether in the earth or in our lives. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to connect with the Ancient traditions of Mabon and to slow down and reflect on what you’re grateful for this year through creating a beautiful Mabon Madala. There will be natural materials, inks and paints to explore to create your mandala. There will also be a chance to enjoy the natural surroundings at Shambellie House and brew up a Mabon tea blend around the fire outside.
While these sessions are primarily targeted at young people (roughly 18 – 25) because of our funding, we welcome anyone who is keen to come along!
