Description
As the daughter of two National Geographic photographers, visual storytelling has always been a big part of Dr Coulson’s life, and in her professional career she has travelled all over the world and created her own stories. From Antarctica to the high Canadian Arctic and everything inbetween Coulson has photographed some of the most remote places and communities and has been sharing these stories internationally. In this workshop, Dr Coulson would like to share her own journey with the participants and discuss with them the things that she has learned about visual storytelling.
This workshop will involve taking photographs and thinking through visual storytelling together by going for a photo-walk on the grounds of Shambellie House or to New Abbey. In the final hour of the workshop, you will reconvene inside where we can review the photos taken by the participants and reflect on your own images and making visual narratives.
