Cancellation Policy

As a small charity we are committed to bringing a range of tutors to Shambellie and to pay them appropriately for their experience and expertise. We therefore have a strict policy regarding cancellations to ensure we can continue to fund courses, support tutors and maintain the house for the future.

Cancellation by You

Our course bookings are non-refundable.  We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may mean that you cannot attend a workshop and we are happy for you to transfer your place to a friend or family member.  We will need their contact details (name, address, email and telephone number) in advance so that confirmation details can be passed on.  Alternatively, if you contact us at least 14 days in advance of the course, we can offer to transfer you to a course on an alternative date or give you a voucher for a future course.  No refunds will be given for those who fail to attend a course.

Cancellation by Shambellie House Trust

Shambellie House Trust will make every effort to ensure courses run as advertised.  If we find it necessary to cancel or postpone a course, then all participants will be notified immediately.  We will give participants the opportunity of a full refund, to transfer payment to another course or receive a voucher for future programmes.  We will refund participants within 3 weeks of the session cancellation date.

We are unable to refund travel, accommodation or other costs you may have incurred in booking your workshop.

Covid Course Cancellation Policy

Shambellie House Trust will follow scientific, government and local advice at all times.

Cancellations made in accordance, response or relating to Covid 19 restrictions or guidance will be subject to different terms and conditions to those detailed in our general policy.

If we need to cancel your booking or activity for any reason relating to Covid 19, we will first attempt to find a way the course can be delivered on-line, on an alternative date or offer you an alternative course of the same or higher value.  If these alternatives are not deemed to be viable, then we will provide a refund or a voucher for a future course.
