Open Day with a Focus on the History and Folklore of Herbs
We are planning to host a Shambellie House Open Day once a month to give you the opportunity of seeing our work on the house and hear more about our plans. Each Open Day has a theme and the first is the History and Folklore of Herbs on Sunday 31 July. Sue Hughes, Shambellie House Manager and Herb Historian, will show you a range of plants used in times past for strewing, cooking, in medicine, housekeeping and folklore and you will have the opportunity to make your own tussie mussie to take away. We also hope to sell plants and old garden equipment, so if you have anything you would like to donate please contact Sue on info@shambelliehouse.org.
Open 10am-4pm with refreshments available throughout the day.
