Description
Gelli Printing is a fun and exciting introduction to printmaking. Artist tutor Julie Stephen will share her extensive Gelli Printing knowledge with you throughout the workshop. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to experiment with the materials and produce prints that you will want to share when you head home.
With reference to our local Solway Coast, we will use a variety of gathered and repurposed materials to make our seashore prints.
We will be using polymer gel plates and rubber brayers that you will borrow during the workshop, printing with a selection of acrylic paints on a variety of paper and card.
Essential Information
Please wear old clothes or bring an apron/old shirt or overall to protect your clothing. Acrylic paints can stain your clothing.
MATERIALS: There will be an additional £3 fee to be paid directly to the artist on the day to cover the costs of materials used.
This workshop is suitable for all.
