Participants will receive introductory information in advance covering, the options available for close-up photography, setting up their camera for the session, and what to bring.

Following a short introduction, we will spend time in the beautiful grounds creating some images with Jean Robson and Edmund Fellows .

After coffee and cake participants will be able to download some images, and select a couple to share, using Shambellie’s digital suite, (or their own laptops if they prefer). David Milner will be on hand for those not familiar with downloading and selecting using the apple computers.

At the end of the afternoon we will review the selected images, and have a Q&A.

What you need to bring:

  • Waterproofs and umbrella in case of rain.
  • Shoes and clothing suitable for working at low levels in the wooded parts of the garden.

Equipment/Set up requirements:

  • Essential equipment is a digital SLR or mirrorless camera and lens, and a memory stick, and a reflector (a piece of A4 white card in a clear plastic sleeve will do!).  A tripod would be helpful but not essential.
  • Please bring along the equipment that you have, what you have available will impact what you do on the day, but the aim is to help you get the best close-up photography from the equipment that you have.
