| Can you help save the day for our buzzing friends?
Join us for a fun-filled session celebrating the amazing world of bees, discover why bees are so important and learn simple ways we can all help them thrive. You will make a colourful bee feeding station to take home, giving tired bees a safe place to stop for a drink. You will also make your own seed bombs to sow at home or somewhere special, creating beautiful flowers that provide food for bees and other pollinators. As part of the morning we will sow some wildflower seeds in Shambellie’s new ‘Pollinator’s Patch’. By the end of the session, you will have become an official Bee Buddy, taking home ideas, crafts and seeds that will continue helping nature long after the workshop has finished. A wonderful morning of creativity, discovery and outdoor inspiration for children (ages 7 and above) who love wildlife and getting their hands busy. We will be outside for some of the session, so please wear suitable footwear, old clothes and bring a showerproof jacket. Make a day of it! In the afternoon we have another activity session on The Secret Life of Bees (bookable separately). Why not bring a packed lunch and stay for the day? Parent’s please note: this session is suitable for unaccompanied children aged 7 years or over. Parents must sign children in and out of the session and leave an emergency contact number. Session leaders are members of Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
