This workshop is suitable for beginners and those wishing to experiment with acrylic paints in their own work.

Essential Information

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron/old shirt or overall to protect your clothing. Acrylic paints can stain your clothing.

MATERIALS:  There will be an additional £3 fee to be paid directly to the artist on the day to cover the costs of materials used.

A fun and vibrant whole day workshop combining printmaking and painting techniques to produce a bold acrylic negative space painting/print.

About The Day

 We will be using acrylic paints on heavyweight cartridge paper, with a range of mark-making tools, brushes, brayers and sponges.

Julie Stephen is a freelance illustrator, fine art printmaker and art tutor. Julie worked as an art and design teacher for over 20 years but is now focussing on her own visual art business, The Artful Corner.  Julie also creates ethereal hand pulled gel prints, layering colours, shapes and textures inspired by forest walks, trips to the shore and sunlight through trees.
