Description

Join Alan McNeish for a day learning about studio lighting and how to set up for maximum effect. The day will begin with a  short talk on the lights and lighting modifiers, followed by demonstrations on how to position the lights for a desired effect plus explanations about using meter readings for the correct exposure.

You will then have the opportunity to set the lights up, with guidance and input from Alan on taking readings and adjusting set ups before taking some portraits, using fellow attendees as your models.

We will be using 2 sets of lights and two backgrounds so that everyone has a chance to use the lights. Throughout the day you will try different lighting positions giving you the chance to try different lighting sets.

If time allows we will view the images taken in our digital suite.

This course is aimed at beginners or people with a bit of knowledge about lighting.
