Design and make your own Lino Print Christmas Card Design.
Give a unique and handmade card for Christmas 2025. During this Christmas workshop you will create a festive motif that you will carve and print using water-based block printmaking inks.
Relax and have a fun day at Shambellie House, creating something to capture the spirit of Christmas.
Workshop runs 10-1pm and includes refreshments.
Artist tutor Julie Stephen will demonstrate how to create a simple festive design motif that can be transferred and carved from polymer based lino and printed onto paper and card.
You will complete your lino carving before printing with a rubber brayer and burnishing your prints by hand.
Please wear old clothes or bring an apron/old shirt or overall to protect your clothing. Acrylic paints can stain your clothing.
There will be an additional £3 fee to be paid directly to the artist on the day to cover the costs of materials used.
Additional card blanks and envelopes can also be purchased during the workshop directly from your tutor.
This printmaking technique requires the use of sharp tools, care must be given when handling the tools. Therefore this workshop is not suitable for young children.
