This months exhibition will showcase photographic entries, selected by a panel of judges on the theme ‘ Discarded’ .

We welcome work from both emerging and established photographers. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate. Local, National and International photographers are welcome to enter work.

Description

This is an OPEN CALL  to photographers to submit up to three images on the theme of ‘ discarded’.

We welcome work from both emerging and established photographers. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate. Local, National and International photographers are welcome to enter work. Think about what discarded means to you in our ‘throw away’ society,  or how lives, people and communities can be discarded…..

Give us your visual interpretation of what discarded means to you.

Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed in our galleries, with their work also appearing in an online gallery on our website.

Photographs for exhibition will be selected by a panel of judges who are members of the Photographers of Shambellie House. A financial prize will be awarded for the winning photograph as judged by the panel.

The exhibition will be launched with a private view and then open to the public at Shambellie House from the 6th – 23rd November from 10.00AM TO 4.00PM Thursday to Sunday, when our Artists and Makers Shop is open and refreshments are available.

Working towards 2026

Following our successful Photography Convention and Exhibitions in 2025 we are pleased to announce that next years gathering of photographers will be focussing on the theme ‘Overlooked’ led by one of our guest speakers and members of the Shambellie House Photographers, John McKenna.

These new seasonal exhibitions will start in November and all relate to our theme of ‘overlooked’, working towards a main exhibition and convention at our photographers gathering in July 2026. We hope this will allow people to be involved along the way….do get involved and watch our socials and website for further information, help and inspiration.
