Tetra Pak printmaking uses recycled packaging, water-based inks, damp paper and a craft press to produce interesting intaglio style prints .

Time: 10 – 4

Essential Information

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron/old shirt or overall. The inks although washable, will stain clothing.

Materials:  There will be an additional £3 fee to be paid directly to the artist on the day to cover the costs of materials used.

This workshop is suitable for all.

A chance to explore the exciting and sustainable technique of Tetra Pak printmaking.

Description

Tetra Pak printmaking uses recycled packaging, water-based inks, damp paper and a craft press to produce interesting intaglio style prints .

Join tutor Julie and experiment carving and drawing into the Tetra Pak to create your own printing plate.  Once your plate has been inked up, you will take turns to run your artwork through the craft press to produce unique and individual prints to take home.

Julie Stephen is a freelance illustrator, fine art printmaker and art tutor. Julie worked as an art and design teacher for over 20 years but is now focussing on her own visual art business, The Artful Corner.  Julie also creates ethereal hand pulled gel prints, layering colours, shapes and textures inspired by forest walks, trips to the shore and sunlight through trees.
